Συρία: «Χτύπημα» σε ελληνορθόδοξη εκκλησία από βομβιστή – Μεγάλος αριθμός θυμάτων (vids)
Επίθεση αυτοκτονίας πραγματοποιήθηκε σε ελληνορθόδοξη εκκλησία σε συνοικία της πρωτεύουσας της Συρίας, την Δαμασκό.
Σύμφωνα με την συριακή τηλεόραση, βομβιστής αυτοκτονίας ανατινάχθηκε στο εσωτερικό της εκκλησίας του Προφήτη Ηλία (Μαρ Ηλία) στην συνοικία της Δαμασκού Ντουέιλα.
Δύο πηγές των υπηρεσιών ασφαλείας δήλωσαν στο Reuters, ότι από την επίθεση σκοτώθηκαν τουλάχιστον δεκαπέντε άνθρωποι. Το υπουργείο Εσωτερικών της Συρίας ανακοίνωσε, ότι ο καμικάζι που ανατινάχθηκε στην εκκλησία της Δαμασκού ήταν μέλος της οργάνωσης Ισλαμικό Κράτος.
